The BCC is a leader in choral musicianship training and continues to set the highest standards of musical literacy and education for community choirs.
Our program, founded over 30 years ago by Linda Beaupré, offers something special to the wonderfully diverse residents in and around East Toronto, building positive relationships among the participants through musical education, creative expression, striving for excellence as well as exploring a broad range of cultures through our repertoire and performance projects.
our Mission is to:
provide a high-level choral experience for children, youth, and young adults
provide an education in vocal technique, music theory and sight-singing in a recreational setting
present performances in Toronto which will appeal to both the performers and the audience
instil in youth the cultural value of creative expression and collaboration
raise up a community of arts enthusiasts and musical leaders who will positively impact the future of arts and culture in Canada
