Low Voice Ensemble (LVE)

Grades 7 and up

Mondays: 8:30 pm - 9:15 pm

at Scarborough Bluffs United Church from September through May

Prerequisites: Must audition prior to entry, including current Choir III singers, unless exempted by conductor. This ensemble is suited for those singers with changing voices who are now comfortable extending into the tenor/bass ranges. Should exhibit dedication to regular practice, a collaborative mindset, proficiency in sight-singing, and vocal adaptability."

Performances: The December and May main stage concerts with all choir levels and special guest musicians. Additional performances will be designated as the first season of this new ensemble unfolds.

Program description: The BCC is excited to add a new ensemble for the 2024-2025 season: the Low Voice Ensemble (LVE) will include singers who have changed or changing voices, and the repertoire will be voiced mostly for tenors and basses. The ensemble will rehearse some music to sing on their own and other tenor and bass parts to sing music with the full ensemble of the BCC, sometimes including alumni singers as well!
