Program description: Choir II emphasizes learning to sing in parts, memorizing numerous songs for performance and becoming proficient in music theory and sight-singing! This ensemble works on solo vocal technique, performs a wide variety of standard choral repertoire and spends time each week singing in multi-part harmony with Choir III. Participation in the A Young Singer’s Journey theory program and weekly sight-singing groups is mandatory and built into the rehearsals. Weekly homework assignments help each singer build skills and confidence in choral music, theory and sight-singing.
Conductors: Charissa Bagan and Sarah Buisman, supported by choral assistants and rehearsal pianist
